On 11 December, as part of the project’s dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities, The Cyprus institute represented GenAI4ED at an educators’ day event held at Athienou High School (Γυμνάσιο Αθηένου) in Cyprus.
During the event, Dr. Myrianthi Hadjicharalambous, Scientific Coordinator at CaSToRC and RIMS, delivered a presentation titled “New Technologies, Tools, and Applications of Artificial Intelligence for Secondary Education Teachers”. The presentation introduced widely used AI tools relevant to educational contexts, focusing on both their potential benefits and the limitations and challenges associated with their use in secondary education.
The session was followed by a lively discussion and exchange of views with approximately 30 teachers, addressing opportunities, concerns, and practical considerations related to the responsible use of AI in education. GenAI4ED project objectives and activities were also presented, using project-branded materials prepared in line with the GenAI4ED visual identity and communication guidelines.
This event contributed to early dialogue with educators and supported awareness-raising around the human-centric and responsible adoption of Generative AI in secondary education, in line with the project’s dissemination strategy.
