The Grammar School (PGMS) is a leading private secondary school in Cyprus known for its strong academic standards and commitment to educational innovation. We specialise in STEM, robotics, digital learning, and teacher professional development, actively participating in national and European research initiatives.
The Grammar School (PGMS) has a strong educational philosophy based on academic excellence, innovation, and putting students first in learning. The following core values guide our work on GenAI4ED:
• High Standards and Educational Excellence
We have high academic standards in all subjects to make sure that teaching is of high quality, that we are always improving, and that we use evidence-based methods in the classroom.
• New ideas in teaching and learning
PGMS uses cutting-edge digital tools, robotics, and new technologies to show how committed we are to technology-enhanced education that looks to the future.
• Student health and moral learning spaces
We put the mental, emotional, and academic health of students first and make sure that all technologies, including AI, are used in a safe, responsible, and ethical way.
• Respect, Equity, and Inclusion
We create a space where all students, no matter their background, ability, or identity, can get the same high-quality education and tech opportunities.
• Working together and getting involved in the community
We work with teachers, students, parents, and outside partners to create a culture of shared responsibility and meaningful participation in new ideas in education.
• Learning for life and growing as a professional
We help teachers by giving them ongoing professional development and giving them the tools they need to keep up with changes in technology and teaching methods.
2. Role in the GenAI4ED Project
PGMS co-develops Pilot Case #2, contributes to user requirements, helps design and evaluate pilot studies, participates in psychological and educational impact analysis, collaborates in developing the evaluation framework, executes pilot testing in school settings, and supports dissemination and project management activities.
Co-designs user requirements and pilot studies, contributes to the GenAI4ED evaluation framework, supports psychological and social impact analysis, implements and evaluates pilots in real classrooms, conducts extensive data collection, and actively participates in dissemination, exploitation, and project management activities.
3. Contributions and Achievements
As The Grammar School, we will lead the implementation of Pilot Case #2, carrying out real classroom testing that will generate high-quality evidence on GenAI in education.
We will provide critical insights from our teachers, students, and parents, directly informing the project’s evaluation framework, KPIs, and policy recommendations.
We will design and deliver innovative GenAI-enhanced teaching scenarios, creating practical, ready-to-use lesson models for schools across Europe.
We will strengthen our educators’ AI literacy, ensuring our teaching staff becomes a national reference point for responsible AI integration.
We will establish PGMS as a European demonstration site, showcasing safe, effective, and ethical GenAI practices within secondary education.
Introduce classroom-driven innovation, bringing real teaching scenarios, student behaviour insights, and authentic school workflows to the design and testing of the GenAI4ED platform.
Apply a teacher-led co-design model, where our educators shape user requirements, pilot activities, and tool evaluation based on daily pedagogical practice and curriculum needs.
