1.Organization Overview

Brief Introduction
WE is an innovation hub and accredited VET center based in Modena, Italy, specializing in EdTech research, AI-driven pedagogy, and teacher professional development. As the founder of Future Education Modena (FEM) and the PLIN hub, WE leads Italy’s first EdTech research ecosystem, focusing on the development and validation of AI-powered learning tools, game-based learning, and inclusive digital education strategies. WE has trained over 50,000 educators and contributed to numerous EU-funded initiatives in AI literacy, ethical AI integration, and adaptive learning, including projects under Horizon Europe and Erasmus+. It is an active member of the European EdTech Alliance and supports policy development for digital education and AI adoption across Europe.

Our aim is to increase the potential of education in society by improving the quality and impact of educational experiences, working on three main trajectories:
– aligning learning experiences with real-life challenges (impact education);
– investigating the profound relationships between technological change, well-being and education;
– responding to emerging lifelong learning needs.

2. Role in the GenAI4ED Project

WE contributes to: WP1 review, impact assessment, taxonomy of GenAI tools and co-design of pilot studies; WP2 review on policies, evaluation framework, guidelines and recommendations; (WP3) design of the Training Resource Hub.

WE will actively participate in WP5 pilot preparation, it will lead one of the pilots addressing 100 young learners aged 11-13 and 30 teachers. It will also lead, the overall pilot evaluation and assessment.

Last but not least, WE lead task 6.3 within WP6 (Dissemination) which includes: the coordination of the GenAI4ED Workshops and Teacher Training Programs, the lead of clustering and networking activities and the drafting of two policy briefs throughout the project duration.

3. Contributions and Achievements

With our team of pedagogists, neuroscientists, evaluators , trainers, reseachers and and AI experts we will constantly propose innovative approaches in the development of the GENAI4ED activities.
