1.Organization Overview
Established in 1995, the Research and Development Department of Ellinogermaniki Agogi is guiding the introduction of innovation in the school setting. It acts as an interface between the pedagogical research, the technological innovation, and the school community.
EA focuses on the design, implementation and support of pedagogical and technological innovation in educational practice, both through internal research as well as through collaborations with numerous educational, research and commercial institutions in Europe and the world.
2. Role in the GenAI4ED Project
EA is responsible for deploying and evaluating the platform and AI-toolset in a real school setting in Greece, ensuring that teachers and students engage with the generative AI tools, and feeding back on usability, acceptability, pedagogical impact and psychological effects.
Implementation of the Greek pilot: selecting participant teachers and students, integrating the GenAI4ED tools into classroom teaching and learning, and monitoring usage and outcomes.
3. Contributions and Achievements
EA will lead large-scale pilot implementations in Greece, engaging teachers and students across multiple subjects to evaluate the impact of GenAI tools in real classrooms. It will generate evidence-based insights on the pedagogical, ethical, and emotional effects of GenAI in education.
EA has a substantial and diverse portfolio of AI-driven projects, demonstrating its strong capacity in developing and implementing innovative digital solutions for education. Building on this extensive AI project portfolio, EA has extensive experience in large-scale implementation of pedagogical innovations, open schooling models, and digital learning ecosystems. Its expertise includes AI-enhanced learning environments, inquiry-based and project-based learning methodologies, as well as the design and deployment of advanced digital tools, including virtual and augmented reality applications for education.
