As the GenAI4ED initiative progresses, a key output is the development of an intuitive, secure, and user-friendly platform that strengthens teaching and learning while aligning with ethical, regulatory, and educational standards.
The platform is being developed by Konnektable Technologies Ltd., the project’s technical leader and scientific coordinator, to translate GenAI4ED’s vision into a solution that works in real educational settings.
Why this matters
Generative AI is rapidly entering classrooms and homes, yet many educators, students and families still lack clear guidance on how to use these tools safely, effectively and responsibly. The GenAI4ED platform addresses this gap by helping users to understand and apply generative AI in education, strengthen digital literacy and critical thinking, connect human skills with AI capabilities to support learning, and build safe and trustworthy learning environments by design.
The platform will serve the full educational ecosystem by supporting students through learning assistance, guided exploration and AI literacy development. The goal is to provide educators with pedagogical guidance and practical support for classroom integration. It will also help parents and guardians better understand safe and age-appropriate AI use at home, while offering administrators and policymakers insights to monitor adoption, impact and evolving needs over time.
Core capabilities
The Genai4ED platform will enable real-time conversational guidance powered by AI, personalised recommendations for tools and learning resources, and access to a curated training and resource hub. Ιt will also incorporate community feedback to enhance tools and features over time, supported by analytics and insights that enable educators and decision-makers to make informed choices.
Key functional modules
The platform will include a Real-Time Dialogue Interface, which provides an AI assistant for guidance, Q&A and navigation across the platform. It will feature an Evaluation and Recommendation Engine delivering evidence-based tool recommendations based on user context and age suitability. A dedicated Training and Resource Hub will offer tutorials, guides and structured learning pathways to build AI literacy and safe practice. In addition, a Public Feedback and Ratings module will enable user evaluation, transparency and continuous improvement. Finally, the Data Analytics Dashboard will provide trends, usage insights and actionable reporting to support monitoring and decision-making.
Designed with privacy at its core, this platform is being developed in alignment with GDPR principles and will incorporate role-based access controls, age safeguards, transparency and consent management. Built on a modular, interoperable architecture, it will support future LMS integration and long-term scalability.
As the platform is refined through piloting and stakeholder feedback, the platform is expected to be delivered by the end of the GenAI4ED project as a ready-to-use solution, bringing safe guidance, trusted resources and practical support into real learning environments.
