The GenAI4ED project was presented during the annual educational meeting Education Evolution: Human Skills in the Age of AI, held on 29 and 30 January 2026, engaging a vibrant and diverse audience of over 500 educators, with 450 participants attending online and 50 educators joining onsite.
As part of the session “Learning in Action: Inspiring Results from European Initiatives”, Theodora Giatagana, Research & Innovation Bid & Delivery Manager at Found.ation, presented the GenAI4ED project, highlighting its role in advancing innovative, inclusive, and human-centered educational practices across Europe. The presentation showcased how European-funded initiatives can transform research outcomes into practical tools that support educators in navigating the opportunities and challenges of Generative AI in education.
The event was part of the Tech Talent School for Educators, a holistic professional development programme that addresses not only digital and pedagogical upskilling, but also educators’ mental resilience and wellbeing. Since 2019, the programme has supported more than 24,000 educators, responding to the evolving demands of primary and secondary education.
The programme featured a series of inspiring talks and discussions focused on:
- Mental resilience and inclusive education
- Artificial Intelligence as an accelerator of learning
- STEM and robotics as effective pedagogical tools bridging general and special education
The rich exchange of ideas underlined the importance of combining technological innovation with empathy, inclusion, and critical thinking—core principles that are also central to the GenAI4ED project.
Education Evolution 2026 was organised with the support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, PwC Greece, the Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation, and Microsoft, and participation was offered free of charge to educators, education stakeholders, and students of pedagogical studies.
Through its participation in Education Evolution, GenAI4ED reaffirmed its commitment to empowering educators with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to integrate Generative AI into teaching practices—while keeping human skills, inclusion, and wellbeing at the heart of the learning process.
